Poop snooze fest, but Blues needed a win badly and came out to play.
Bottom 6 needs to start putting up some points; top 6 needs to execute better: lots of flubbed passes, bobbled pucks, etc. |

I still think it boils down to confidence. They seem to be a little fragile still, and doubt their skill and talent when they face a team who isn't buying into the hype. Welcome to the NHL...a league of professionals.
To me it's evident in their overall speed, which seems to have taken a step back.
Gotta work every game, every period, every shift...and if not, they might lose. Leafs may simply inspire teams to play better against them - that's the way it goes.
"Start on time!"
And I hate to say it, but their possession game isn't what it was without Holdout Willy.

He held them in it for half the game. The team needs to play harder infront of him if there gonna win. |

The Nylanders put a curse on Dubas when he went over there to not talk numbers. That's the real problem. Now he needs to trade Tavares to free up cap space to sign William. |

I think Kadri needs a better winger.
Brown is a good player, good to dig pucks out but he can’t drive a line. Kadri is on his own out there.
Willie will be back and Kadri will get Kap. |

Leafs have Tavares Kapanen Kadri Marner and Matthews but theyre struggling cause Nylanders not playing.
our fans can be silly cluless female genitalias sometimes. i guess this is what happens when you expect a team to go 82-0. |

Players will struggle. It happens and it’ll happen again sometime this season.
There is a reason even the best team in the league can’t win more than 50 games out of 82. |

Exactly. The sky isnt falling and the team would have lost both games even with Nylander in the line up. Hes a fine a complimentary piece but hell never be the guy that fixes things or turns ships around.
Its the law of averages. Matthews was never going to get 200 points this season which mesns there has to come a time where he doesnt produce after the pace he was on. Leafs werent going to win 6 out of every 7 games so expect losses to average things out.

Yep, the team has not played good the past two games and that is fine. Babcock will review game tape and make adjustments for Wednesday. We probably even see a few lineup changes.
Not worried, it will happen again and the same idiots will be blaming it on one little thing again. Except next time we won't be playing well because Babcock played Ennis 31 more seconds than he should of. |

Marincin taking rushes instead of Dermott at the skate today.. Dermott coming out would be a very questionable call |

Dermott is with Holl. Holl gets a game probably. |

That’d make more sense, although I thought Oz has looked pretty decent. Makes sense to get Holl in a game. Hainsey to me has probably been their worst dman, but he’s not coming out. |

Seems like the teams have the book on how to play the leafs now. But the we all saw the drop in form against the slow train wreck called the “KINKS” |

Yeah I get why Hainsey is in the lineup....but he just can't handle the mins he has been given. It will only get worse.
I have a feeling the Leafs are going to trade for Edler at the deadline...Which honestly wouldn't be bad, he can handle the tough mins and is actually affordable as a rental. |
